Things I looked at on eBay Today, Volume 1

£17.00

A project by Annie Collinge
Edited & designed by Claire Huss

Things I Looked at on eBay Today is a publication about strange and unusual objects found for sale on eBay during lockdown (between March and June 2020). This bewildering artist book is a collaboration between photographer Annie Collinge and art director Claire Huss. It showcases a selection of 56 screenshots carefully chosen by Huss amongst the collection of objects that drew Collinge’s attention. The format of the publication and the yellow spiral binding at the top are a nod to the mobile phone, and the way we scroll through images.

Annie Collinge is a photographer based in London. She often works collaboratively and has made ongoing projects with artists Julie Verhoeven, Riitta Ikonen and Rottingdean Bazaar. She works across different mediums, creating campaigns for fashion brands, music videos and fashion editorials. In 2024 she won a Grammy Award for Best Recording Package for artwork made jointly with the artists Rottingdean Bazaar for Stumpwork, the acclaimed album by British band Dry Cleaning.

Claire Huss is an art director and graphic designer based in Paris. She spent 9 years in London working for various design studios and agencies, and as part of fashion brand COS in-house team. Since 2018, she has run her own studio working for a range of international clients in the worlds of design, art and fashion. She regularly collaborates with artists and photographers on printed publications and exhibitions. She also designed a book with her own artistic work called Archives, a limited edition of 100 copies, published by Pharmacy Books (formerly called First Last).

Things I Looked at on eBay Today is Annie and Claire’s second publication done in collaboration, following Five Inches of Limbo, published in 2015.
